Early Life & Foundation
Born 15 March 1961 on Mahé, raised in a modest family that instilled values of faith, service, and social responsibility. These early experiences shaped his commitment to representing ordinary Seychellois.
Education & Calling
Trained as an Anglican Priest, studying theology in Mauritius and at the University of Birmingham. This theological background provided the moral foundation for his later political activism and commitment to justice.
Political Awakening
Entered politics through clergy activism with a historic sermon in 1990 questioning one-party government. Helped found Parti Seselwa, later United Opposition (UO) and Seychelles National Party (SNP), beginning a journey toward democratic change.
